Travel Pathologist Assistant

Key Responsibilities of the Travel Pathologist Assistant:

• Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens
• Assist pathologists in postmortem examinations, including evisceration and dissection
• Photograph specimens and maintain documentation for records and teaching
• Prepare tissue samples for processing and ensure proper labeling
• Maintain pathology lab equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed
• Assist with lab management tasks, including inventory and quality control
• Communicate effectively with pathology staff and other medical personnel

Requirements of the Travel Pathologist Assistant

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and graduation from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program
• Active Massachusetts license
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as a Pathology Assistant
• Strong knowledge of gross anatomy and histological techniques
