Cardiac Sonographer

Key Responsibilities

As a Cardiac Sonographer, you will

• Perform transthoracic echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound studies as ordered
• Operate ultrasound and Doppler equipment to acquire diagnostic-quality images
• Review and analyze images for accuracy and quality prior to physician interpretation
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain processes to ensure comfort and cooperation
• Maintain thorough documentation in EMR systems
• Adhere to departmental protocols and safety guidelines
• Collaborate with cardiologists and healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Qualifications

• ARDMS (RDCS) or CCI (RCS) certification required
• Oregon State licensure (if applicable) or eligibility to practice
• BLS certification required
• Minimum 1 year of experience in cardiac ultrasound preferred
• Strong technical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
