### Position Overview

We're looking for a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to support administrative responsibility for the Coronary Care Unit Intermediate department service functions. You'll work collaboratively with the unit Director and/or Manager, and in their absence, may assume the administrative scope of the unit assigned. This is a part-time position working nights, 7p-7a, 12-hour shifts at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine.

### What You'll Do

As Clinical Supervisor, you'll develop and implement departmental plans, including performance improvement activities and compliance with current federal and/or state regulations. You'll prepare, conduct and/or oversee department orientation and training of personnel, communicating with staff, physicians, and administration both written and verbally. You're responsible and accountable for the quality of staff and functions during your shift.

You'll assist the Department Director in the daily operations of the unit, directing, supervising, and evaluating personnel while ensuring the proper use of time, equipment and staff. Maintaining efficient department functions is essential to this role. When needed, you'll perform direct patient care within the scope of practice and continually assess care, directing staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care as needed.

### What We're Looking For

You must hold a current and valid state Registered Nurse license. A Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. You'll need a current Basic Life Support certificate (BLS) upon hire and must maintain current status. Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is also required upon hire and must be maintained.

Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience is required, with 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role preferred. A Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certificate is preferred for Intensive Care work. For this non

  • OB facility, NRP is required 90 days after hire and must be maintained. Professional Certification within 2 years of hire is preferred.

This is a non-exempt position working the night shift in the Coronary Care Unit Intermediate department.
