The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of medical terminology, and experience with various healthcare systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assist healthcare providers with patient intake and documentation.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations using electronic health record systems such as SimplePractice and Fusion WebClinic.
  • Handle medical collections and billing inquiries efficiently.
  • Patient insurance verification
  • Submit Prior Authorizations to insurance companies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their appointments, treatments, and follow-up care.
  • Utilize medical terminology to assist in patient care within a medical clinic environment.
  • Support the administrative functions of the office, including answering phones and managing correspondence.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and high standards of patient care.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on patient interaction.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in creating spreadsheets and various forms related to healthcare administration.
  • A compassionate demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
