Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, evidence-based dental care, setting clinical standards, conducting peer reviews, and leading continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead quality management and patient safety programs, utilizing data to measure outcomes and drive enhancements.
  • Develop and execute strategic plans for service expansion, operational efficiency, and clinical growth.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, performance management, and evaluation of dental staff, residents, and clinic directors.
  • Implement population health strategies, focusing on improving access and health outcomes for underserved populations.
  • Manage the dental clinical budget, collaborate on billing, coding, reimbursement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Support innovation through adoption of emerging dental technologies and clinical practices.
  • Partner with residency directors to ensure educational and clinical program alignment.
  • Provide direct patient clinical care, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.

Requirements

  • Graduate degree from an accredited dental school.
  • Valid New York State dental license.
  • Minimum five years of clinical practice experience, with significant leadership and oversight of multiple dental clinics within group practices, FQHCs, or educational settings.
  • Strong knowledge of dental principles, treatment procedures, patient safety, and quality assurance.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including team management, problem-solving, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging at all organizational levels.
  • Experience working in multidisciplinary environments, including medicine and behavioral health, is preferred.
