This role is ideal for a clinically driven pharmacist with a strong haematology/oncology background who is passionate about supporting cancer patients through safe, accurate, and evidence-based medication management.

Key Responsibilities

As an Oncology Pharmacist, you will

  • Review, validate, and prepare chemotherapy and supportive care regimens
  • Ensure accurate dosing, monitor interactions, and oversee therapeutic management for oncology patients
  • Support haematology, oncology, and infusion centre operations
  • Provide drug information and clinical guidance to oncologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Participate in compounding, verification, and inventory management of oncology agents
  • Educate staff and patients on oncology medications, safety, and protocols
  • Maintain compliance with USP standards, hospital policies, and oncology best practises
  • Work rotating weekends and holidays as required

Schedule Details

Day Shift (Varied)

  • Monday–Friday:
  • 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
  • 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
  • 11:00 am – 7:00 pm
  • Alternate weekends & holidays as required

Full-time, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy with at least a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy
  • Valid New York State Pharmacist Licence and current registration required
  • 2–3 years hospital pharmacy experience required
  • Minimum of 3 continuing education credits annually in Chemotherapy/Oncology required
  • Oncology certification preferred (NYSCHP, BPS, or equivalent)

Experience in

  • Haematology/Oncology
  • Infusion centre operations
  • Successful completion of hospital and pharmacy departmental orientation
  • Strong knowledge of oncology therapeutics, sterile compounding, drug interactions, and safety protocols

Additional Requirements

  • Flu vaccination mandatory — no exemptions
