Job Summary

This position’s primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining relationships with referral sources (long term care facilities, independent and assisted living facilities, hospitals, home health providers, hospice agencies, physicians, care managers, and more), identifying and developing new referral opportunities, and increasing community outreach in order to obtain referrals. The individual in this role will become an expert in HomeWell’s service offerings and provide appropriate service solutions to our referral partners for their patients and/or clients. The assigned sales territory encompasses parts of Morris, Essex, and Union counties. This is a field position, Monday through Friday with 1-2 after-hours commitments required weekly, and 1-2 weekend days per month on-call commitments required.

Job Responsibilities

  • Execute a focused marketing strategy for designated referral sources across Morris, Essex, and Union counties with the goal of generating referrals.
  • Establish new relationships and marketing opportunities with long-term care, independent and assisted living facilities, community resources, healthcare organizations, and industry associations to enhance company growth.
  • Present HomeWell’s services to healthcare professionals and community organizations to build brand awareness and obtain referrals.
  • Plan and execute events such as breakfasts, lunches, dinners, CEU/trainings, fundraisers, etc. for current and potential referral sources.
  • Attend community and marketing events.
  • Conduct initial coordination of care, including an intake phone call, initial consultation with prospective clients, and home safety assessment for 10-15 leads per month.
  • Complete administrative tasks including weekly reports and data entry in HomeWell’s CRM.

Position Qualifications

  • 3+ years of healthcare sales experience preferred. Also open to Registered Nurse interested in transitioning into a relationship-focused business development role.
  • Results-driven with a high level of discipline, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Capable of operating autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional written and oral skills, including public speaking.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen, with good judgment and the capacity to consider holistic, long-term views of organizational needs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • SalesForce experience preferred.
