About the position

Position Overview

To provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care services under the supervision and direction of a licensed physician and nurse in performing various duties in the Clinic setting. The Medical Assistant will perform the routine tasks needed to care for patients within the Centers for Family Health.

Temporary position eligible for benefits

Eligible for conversion into a permanent position

Responsibilities

  • To provide safe, efficient, and therapeutic patient care services under the supervision and direction of a licensed physician and nurse in performing various duties in the Clinic setting.
  • The Medical Assistant will perform the routine tasks needed to care for patients within the Centers for Family Health.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Medical Assistant diploma or certificate of completion from a medical assistant training program
  • Currently certified as a Medical Assistant by a recognized certifying organization or eligible to sit for exam within 30 days of hire. Acceptable certifications are CMA, CCMA, NCMA, RMT, AAMA ABROE.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish
